She starts of with saanwaria ,by sanjay leela bhansali.Although bhansali was not the one who may inspire me for watching the movie .It was on dostoevsky's novel.Whether sonam had thought of this angle or not, i dont know but if she did i must say she is not of a general bollywood type ,because playing such a notable writer's character in the first movie surely is a more literature loyal dicision.She was of course in the central role.But i think bhansali did'nt got dostoevsky much.
Now what can be so special for sonam.Number one she starts with dostoevskies portrait ,second she is carrying on to work with sensible director rakesh om prakash mehra(Again mentioning abhishek is not important,if you are going to watch delhi6 watch it for rakesh,if you are going to listen it listen it for A.r)rakesh is one who directed RDb ,he was also excillent in aks ,(I think abhishek will not agree ,but ask that to your father abhi).
Rakesh is sensible sonam is good (also in acting ,as far as compared to ranbir)so delhi6 could be a good entertainer.She is playing bittu in the movie.And the movie has a Romance centric script.She looks cool.Watch her on 20th feb.
DELHI 6
The movie is reportedly based on Mehra's growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The film will be Mehra's third directorial venture after critically acclaimed Aks and the immensely successful Rang De Basanti.
Sonam reportedly confirmed taking part in the movie and is paired with Abhishek Bachchan. Rishi Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi are also a part of the film. The film went on the floors December 20, 2007. Amitabh Bachchan reportedly has a small role in the film where he is supposed to play the grandfather to Roshan, played by Abhishek Bachchan. Waheeda Rahman will play the grandmother of the same character. Gulshan Grover has been roped in to play Abhishek Bachchan's dad in the film. Editing for the film is being done by Meghna Aschit and Rakeysh's wife Bharthi. In an interview Rakeysh said that he is not involved with the editing and is really curious to see the outcome of his work on the movie.
